Charge Nest India Private Limited was founded in 2026 by Narendran Sundravadivel with a vision to create a cleaner, safer, and smarter future for electric mobility in South India.
His inspiration came from growing concerns about global warming, greenhouse gas emissions, environmental pollution, and air quality degradation. While researching sustainable alternatives, he realized that electric vehicles are one of the most powerful solutions for reducing pollution and protecting the future.
However, during his research, one important question changed everything:
“Why is EV adoption still lower across many parts of South India?”
After studying EV users and travelers, he discovered the biggest challenge: Range anxiety. Many EV users feared that while traveling long distances or outstation routes, their vehicle might run out of charge before reaching the next charging point.
Narendran realized that solving this single problem could transform EV adoption across South India. That vision became ChargeNest.

Charge Nest India Private Limited was founded in 2026 by Narendran Sundravadivel with a vision to build a cleaner, safer, and smarter future for electric mobility across South India.
The inspiration behind ChargeNest came from growing concerns about global warming, increasing greenhouse gas emissions, environmental pollution, and air quality degradation.
Narendran strongly believed that electric vehicles could become one of the most powerful solutions for reducing pollution and creating a sustainable future.
“Why is EV vehicle usage still lower across many parts of South India?”
After studying EV users and long-distance travelers, he discovered the biggest problem: Range Anxiety.
Many EV users feared that while traveling to outstation locations, their vehicle battery might not have enough charge to safely reach the next charging point. Narendran realized that solving this one problem could transform EV adoption across South India. That idea became ChargeNest.
He envisioned a smart EV corridor infrastructure where travelers across 5 South Indian states could safely travel without worrying about battery depletion.
Before an EV battery percentage drops below 20%, travelers should always be able to reach a ChargeNest station safely.
To achieve this, ChargeNest plans to establish smart EV recharge and traveler rest hubs approximately every 300 kilometers across South India. However, during discussions with EV users, another important concern became clear.
Many travelers — especially families and women traveling during night hours — felt unsafe at isolated highway charging locations. Narendran realized that EV infrastructure should not only provide charging support, but also safety, comfort, rest facilities, and traveler confidence.
